On March 15, 2024, medical students across the country gathered together to learn their fate – residency match following graduation. In Independence, Ohio at ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ’s own medical school, the College of Podiatric Medicine (CPM), fourth year podiatric medical students had their own match day celebrations as 100% of eligible students in the class of 2024 learned where they would soon be moving to live and
practice over the course of their four-year residency programs.
The post-graduate training that takes place in residency provides an orderly progression from student doctor to competent, independent clinician. Residents can elect a residency program in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with or without an added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (PMSR and PMSR/RRA). In each pathway, residents are trained in the breadth of podiatric healthcare, with the additional credential providing a sufficient volume and diversity in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle procedures.
Check out where ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ’s new foot and ankle physicians and surgeons will be heading this summer!
