Biography
After completing my Bachelor of Science degree In Early Childhood Education I was hired to teach fulltime at the Child Development Center. I completed my Masters of Education degree at ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ during my first years of teaching . When I was hired to teach at the CDC we had no permanent home. I was given the opportunity to help design the building that is now the home of the Child Development Center. It gives me a great sense of pride that I was able to take part in making the dream of our school become a reality. I had the privilege of traveling to Reggio Emilia,Italy in 2000 where I spent 10 days studying the infant / toddler centers and preschools with 250 educators from 6 countries. I am involved in ongoing research with my colleagues at the CDC.Some of my professional interests are nature /outdoor education and supporting children's interests through the use of the visual arts. I have been involved in ECED study groups and EC presentations on a statewide level. I also supervise student teachers who are placed at various sites each semester .
