Vlogƽ alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and the community are invited to take part in one of the university’s long-standing traditions. Student events will occur the week leading up to Homecoming on all eight Vlogƽ campuses throughout Northeast Ohio.
Peter C. Kratcoski, Professor Emeritus, Department of Sociology, and co-presenters Gilbert Norden and Maximilian Edelbacher presented “Pre-Service Experiential Education/Training for Criminal Justice” at the International Police Executive Symposium/United Nations Symposium on Drugs and Crime in Vienna, Austria, on Aug. 21, 2018.
The Vlogƽ Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed Vlogƽ in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Vlogƽ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
