The ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Board of Trustees endorsed the 2024 University Remediation Report at its Dec. 12 meeting. The report provides a comprehensive overview of student remediation at the university.

The Greater Cleveland LGBTQ+ Community Needs Assessment findings are in. Led by ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ’s College of Public Health, in collaboration with 120 local organizations and nonprofits, this groundbreaking initiative marks a significant stride toward understanding and addressing the unmet needs of LGBTQ+ individuals across Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Lorain counties.
Sponsored by the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Alumni Association, the Alumni Awards are the university’s most prestigious alumni honors. The 2024 Alumni Award recipients include seven alumni, two recent graduates, one staff member and one current student.

The ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Oct. 2 on the Kent Campus. This special meeting is being called solely for the purpose of enabling trustees to retire into executive session to consider specific topics as provided under Ohio’s “Sunshine Law.â€
ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ is set to burst with Golden Flash pride as the annual Homecoming celebration returns Sept. 28.
U.S. News & World Report has once again confirmed ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ’s academic strengths with the university’s inclusion on several lists in the 2025 Best Colleges rankings. In the newly released rankings, ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ continues to be recognized among the Top Public Schools in the nation.
The ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2028 during its regular quarterly meeting held Sept. 18 in Crawford Hall and congratulated the university administration for this year’s strong enrollment.
In observance of Veterans Day, ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ will be closed Nov. 11 and will reopen Nov. 12.

ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ will hold its annual Veterans Day observance on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza.
The outdoor program, Honoring All Who Serve, will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from the university’s Army and Air Force ROTC programs, remarks from ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ President Beverly Warren and guest speakers. Retired Petty Officer 1st Class Mark Gainer, who currently serves as president of the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Veterans Club, will be the guest speaker.
All are invited to come and pay tribute to America’s veterans. A special invitation is extended to ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members or who have family members in the military.
A reception in the Kent Student Center Kiva lobby will follow the brief program. In the event of inclement weather, the rain location will be the Kent Student Center Kiva.
