The 117,000 square foot building will bring all the programs in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design under one roof. The new facility is designed and located to be a physical statement of the strengthened relationship between the city of Kent and the university. I just set the Guinness World Record for Fastest Half Marathon Dressed as a Chef by running 2:25:55 in the Goodyear Half Marathon as part of the Akron Marathon Series on Aug. 13. I ran in full chef costume while carrying a 6 1/2 pound stockpot the entire time. I hope to set the female record during the Akron Full Marathon on Sept. 24.
