A lecture series has been created to honor the legacy of Jerry M. Lewis Emeritus Professor of Sociology and advance the scholarship of May 4, 1970 and the Vietnam War era. We are currently accepting applications for our 2025 Jerry M. Lewis lecturer.
We will be going to West Branch State Park for a beginner-friendly stand up paddleboard float. There is beautiful scenery, wildlife, and fresh air to take in while on the water.

Date & Time: (weather permitting) Saturday, May 3 from 7 - 10 p.m.
This cornerstone of the commemoration began in 1971. There will be food before the Candlelight Walk on the Commons and in the Prentice Hall parking lot, and there will be an online signup for the Candlelight Vigil.
The campus community and visitors will gather at noon on the May 4 site at the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Commons to commemorate the moment that gunfire erupted 53 years ago.
This trip will be held locally on the Cuyahoga River. We will meet at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (or you can meet us at Kramer Fields-just let us know ahead of time!) From there, we will paddle to Brust Park in Munroe Falls.
