Sponsored by the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Alumni Association, the Alumni Awards are the university’s highest alumni honors. Recipients are selected based on their exceptional professional and civic contributions and for their outstanding support of the university. The 2022 Alumni Award recipients include six alumni and one student.
Community Food Truck Series Brings ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Family Together
A variety of food trucks gather in front of the University Library on Wednesdays to supply students, faculty and staff passing by with a quick bite to eat. And the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ community is taking advantage of it.

The first full week of fall is also the most spirited week at ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ. The week of Sept. 26 to Oct. 1 is Spirit Week and includes homecoming weekend at ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ. The week will be full of events celebrating ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ spirit.
Figure Skating Students Glide Into Silver and Pewter at Nationals
This past summer, two ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ students were awarded medals in the U.S. Collegiate Figure Skating Championships, sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating, the national governing body for the sport of figure skating in the country. It is the highest level at which figure skating takes place at the college level.
ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Is the Place to Be! First-Year Student Numbers Return to Pre-Pandemic Levels
ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ’s Class of 2026 has arrived on the Kent Campus in strong numbers – 4,251 to be exact – an increase of nearly 7% over the previous year, the largest class since before the pandemic and the eighth largest incoming class in the university’s 112-year history.
